Well day one is in the books and right now I am real close to start putting it all back together. It's a little intimidating seeing my ride torn apart like that....I know it will all turn out good. Thanks to all those who helped over the phone and in person. I will be back at it tomorrow morning to hopefully finish it out. Oh ya my NoESP showed up today also...yaaaa!![]()

whats the story bro.............
I just got off the plane a while ago, ate dinner w/ la familia and was rapping with Steve for a bit; sounds like YOU have had the adventure while I merely played in the jungle.
Done yet?
Ohhhh ya it has been a day....only one broken head bolt...one of the small ones. Thank GOD for LoGo "Don" who came down from Portland, he worked on that damn bolt and got it out! I am one lucky sommmbitch. Anyway now I am worried I missed something like torquing town the timing chain tension plate but I am sure I got it, my mind went to mush and my gut knotted up when the bolt broke...anyway its pretty much all together in the front. Just got to get a new bolt and put on the intake, put back on the high flows and plug some stuff in. It has been and adventure I want to thank Hemi31 and Steve for all the phone help...I am sure I will be calling you back.
By the way that damn crank bolt is one tough cookie I gave it all I had to get it torqued down...man thought I was going to break another one. I am going to bed and hopefully my mind will slow down so I can get some sleep. Later.
So... have you got it done yet? I'm really looking forward to hearing how you like the results!![]()

Ok I will bring all up to date, while I was waiting on the broken head bolt to show up at the dealer, yes broken head bolt..... lets just say LowGo is my hero and I owe him big time for getting it out. Anyway I was just doing what I could so I started to put the coolant back into the block when I started to hear a drip on the ground....yep right underneath the head on the passenger side!I freaked out and got to looking...long story but I put the head gaskets on wrong! Rookie mistake I thought the left and right side were for how you were looking at the motor not behind the wheel. So I called the dealer they are 3-4 days out for everything, called back Franks and he shipped it all overnight to me.
Wow what a week and to top it off I am working long hours at work so I only get a couple of hours a night to work on the car....last night I pulled all the bolts except for a couple in the heads, pulled the AC condenser, so I can be ready to pull the heads back off tonight. I did put in the NoESP mod and re-routed my N20 purge lines...pretty easy with the nose off. I will let you all know how it goes, probably won't be able to get around to firing it up until Fri. Wish me luck!![]()
Are you talking about one of those valve spring shaft bolts? I broke one of those sonovaguns and took me a few hours to fish it out as well LOL
I hear you there.
Make sure you get that timing right. MangoInTx and I had to tear it down a second time because I was throwing a cam/crank sync code. Good luck brother!

This is great. You guys are true gear heads in my book.
Don't feel too bad boise. I've broken an intake manifold bolt and had to use the smallest tap to take her out. I was able to do it with the intake on. I have also broken a valve cover bolt on the pass. side. Same deal. Small bolts on these hemis run about 3 bucks...
Oh and did i mention that my first was a header bolt!!! Guess that why torque wrenches were invented.......For guys like me!!!!!![]()
