FRI'd my 5.7, Now Buyers Remorse

I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas since placing an order for Econo heads, Sidwinder cam for my 07 RT R/T last week. This is a dailey driver used in business. I cann't wait to go up against my friends BMW 550i and other buds 335i with these mods.

Mods to date: AFE Stage II CAI, 180 F TS, Kooks LT and high flow cats, Corsa cat backs, diablo with RPD tune. I have not tracked and will admit right off I have never tracked a car. Going to the track sounds like FUN! I'm going to take that plunge. Maybe meet in Hatisburg, MS in November.

Dyno last week 314 HP, 359 TQ. What do you think it will pull after the head and cam mods and a CMR tune?

Thanks for all those who have spend endless hours working on mods and posting threads for newbees like me! Special thanks to Mexi who has been unbelivably helpful, taking my phone calls, calling vendors, helping me line up installers.....

    Buyers Remorse, should I have......?
Milled the heads or left them stock?
    Bought the Racing Street heads?
How do I know the correct push rod length with milled heads and Sidewinder cam? 6.1 seems to be the stock answer but others with great times use custom push rods.
IF I bought the FRI head coating to keep head in the head for how much gain?

Underdrive pulley? With the engine apart why not? Does anyone have dyno numbers showing a real increase and if so, is it across the board? Is anyone having engine failures due to an Underdrive Pulley after 30K miles or more?

Dnt have them yet, but will soon. I think you should have went for the street heads and I haven't heard anything bad bout the pullies yet. Don't think anyone has had them, on the LX, for 30K miles yet. If I am wrong someone will chime in.

I don't think you lost much by not going with the street heads. But with very similar mods to yours I put down 379 rwhp & 393 rwtq and ran a 12.7 in the 1/4 mile.

Yep, got the econo milled and had too much time on my hands this evening and started thinking about how to determine a push rod length when putting in a different cam and milled heads. I got your PR lengths and will order Monday AM.

Thanks again for your help. If I can turn in a 12.7 1/4 mile and dyno near 180 rwhp and 190 rwtq I'll be satisfied, at least for a week or two. Is there a 12 step program of lx mods?

Did you mean 380 rwhp and 390 rwtq? I'd be disappointed if I lost over a 100 hp

Alcharger, remember though, don't be disappointed if you don't hit 380 - 390 RWHP. Don't base it off someone elses dyno. You did good. You got yourself a good baseline. Now, when you have the heads and cam intalled, make sure you get it tuned. I expect to see somewhere near 350+ rwhp 378+ rwtq. If you get that, you are golden. metgo has a freak!

Oops, fat finger error typing late last night when I lost a 100 HP and TQ!!!

Thanks all for the encouragement! I'm going with milled heads and Mexi's recommendation on push rod lengths. Maybe I can get close to his times.

Does anyone have a base line dyno without an under drive pulley and after installing?
Same on FRI head coating option, has anyone seen a measurable gain?

As so many have said the dyno are just numbers and the REAL DEAL will be coming back with some slip times.
