    Fri SS Heads and Sidewinder+tune = DAMN!

    Put Franks Racing SS heads in with a sidewinder cam. It was a nice gain but not necessarily worth the coin.... Well I say this because I knew getting that CMR tune would be essential to taking advantage of the upgrades. Without the tune it just doesnt all jive.

    Working with SVS now on my tune. All I can say is DAMN! What a huge difference! I feel like im running with an entirely different engine. I sent my data log in today and I cant wait to see what Bob sends back in return.

    So for any out there who are considering this upgrade, you will certianly enjoy the outcome.

    Anyway thats my two cents

    a tune is critical with any ones upgrades. does not matter whos parts.

    Bob seems to be mastering the art of top notch mail order tunes, way to go.

    Isn't it amazing how much can be left on the table without proper tuning?!?
    This should serve as good notice to those trying to run any aftermarket cam by simply adding fuel...it may seem to run well, but the cam itself is not worth the money you paid for it if it is not tuned to take advantage of the revised valve events!!

    Absolutely, I cant believe the difference after adding the tune. During the install I added the cam, heads, headers and midpipes all at once - the power gains felt with hardware alone wasn't half of the power gains felt once combined with a tune.

    I also learned how important having an AFR gauge is as well. My WOT was bumped up +9 across the board to keep me in the safe zone. I would have never known other wise.

    ya the tune is the key and getting miles on it..

    right after installs none of these cars run as good as people want.. but after a cmr tune/email tune they tell me they run so good!!

    pisses me off lol i just want to go fast to!

    glad the tuning got worked out!

    I can't wait to get mine all tuned up too- then we can go test'em out. LOL!

    Did Thirsty ever tell you about the ride home that night after my Cam install and we were both lined up at the light?!?!?!?! LOL!!!!!!
