i was reading this months hotrod and a company called asp racing (website is www.aspracing.com) they are making an underdrive pulley for the crankshaft that is stated to free up upto 15 hp.its not on there website but the mag article stated it was coming out soon ive emailed and as soon as i get a response ill post it.the magazine also had a big article on the lx tuning for our cars.in short for those that have not read it is that these cars once dcx releases the codes the aftermarket will explode with products and that our cars are capable of awesome hp once they can be properly tuned.

ASP is owned by an old friend of mine named Lee Cooper..............we've pounded on him forever to make this pulley............like for 3 years now!

apprantly someone told me that the mustangs have the pulley mod avaiable to them and that it gives the stangs over 50 HP right away.. don't know how true? ... now back to my scotch :-)

I would think 10 hp would be more reasonable. I know that the trucks have had problems with toner ring failures when running underdrive pullys. What kind of Scotch?

For the supercharged Mustangs (03-04 and the new GT500), 50 HP is a walk in the park with a pulley upgrade. They can push 600HP with pulley, intake, exhaust, and tune.

Problem is, these cars will be rusted out pieces of junk before they release any code. People will continue to hack at it. Could you imagine what these cars could have done if they would have released code like GM and Ford, with tunes and forced induction ready BEFORE the cars were ever in production. Too late now......

well i just got an email from them there saying its discontinued because the radiator has to be removed .im not sure what that means if its an installation thing thats our problem not theres? if it wont fit because of the radiator thats another story ive emailedhim and asked for clarification.

my understanding is underdrive pulley isnt great for people with sound systems, cuz of something to due with it not cranking the alternator as much or something like that./

okay...............I just got off the phone with Lee.

He hasn't mass produced the ones for the cars.............

We talked and discussed some different ideas, but in short, he didn't feel people would be willing to pull off the front of their cars to put on his under drive pulley...............a statement I laughed at!

I told him I would pre-pay for them and turn around and sell them.........

He is interested and we will talk next week.............

Turn around is something like 3+ months for a full production run
