    Flowmaster 40's and Zoomers Tips?

I'm looking for a sound clip of Flowmaster 40's with Zoomers Canon tips on a 5.7L Hemi. Anybody running that setup that can get me a sound clip?

    Thanks....

Heres a single FM 40 on 3.5L no res, just a plain SS tip

The drone was killer, so swapped to a Dynomax ultraflow.

What Up, I am removing my Zoomers and 2" Hi-Flow cat tubing for the Flowmaster 40's with 3" going through to the back with 4'' tips, but also would like to hear.

OK, I talked to bcdavis and his car is in the shop right now and it may be another week or two before he is able to post a sound clip. Anyone else have a sound clip of that combination?

Of course the soundclips (if they are revs in park) are going to sound great. However, sound clips aren't going to capture the highway drone or MDS drone very well which would be the biggest factor when considering this combo.

Then drone is so subjective since one man's drone is another man's music. I'd be interested to know what bcdavis' previous setup was and what his report on highway (75-80mph) and MDS drone is.

I've not seen any FLowmaster/Zoomers combos running around, I assume they'll be louder than the pair of magnaflows with Zoomers tips that I had on my RT for quite some time.

The link is to a dyno pull with that combo. (319/375)

The mufflers were not the Magnaflow single that they use in their catbacks, but two 'small-block-sized' ones that they had on hand. Aries4Life is running that combo now. Not real droney at all, nice mellow setup.

I know you are looking for 40's clip. I went with the 50 Delta Flows as I was afraid the 40's would be a bit loud. My setup is 50 DF's, no resonators with Ractive twin wall tips that help just a hair with reso's. This clip sucks as the camera mic is weak and tire noise is a bit loud, but thought I would give it to you anywhose. I like the sound of mine very well, but exhaust notes are like T-Bone steaks, some like it rare, some medium and some well done. Good luck.

I know MagnumMama has 40 DF's. Maybe a PM to her.

I was also going to ask him about the drone. What I was depending on was the Zoomers Canon Tips taking care of the drone issue. Some say it will, but I think that maybe that might be on a stock muffler. I already have the FM40's, but still using the stock reso's. I have no drone now and you can't tell when MDS kicks in. I have the MDS light and I watch it and still can't tell by the exhaust sound.

Yup, I like that sound and no doubt that the Flowmasters will be louder. My main concern was whether or not the Zoomers Canon Tips would eliminate the drone. They say "Resonance Free", but I wonder if that would pertain to the Flowmaster setup.

I had the Delta Flows 50 series with 4" X 17" Echo Tips. Loved the sound on the outside, but with the cabin resonance, they were soon eliminated! See the above posts for more of an explanation.
