Question Fan Mod without a lower T-stat - Any effect?

What effect will a fan mod have without a lower t-stat being installed?

For example... If I were to be sitting in heavy traffic (or a staging lane), the temp would rise well above 200* before the fans kicked in... Would it help if I could turn the fans on early?

Nope, the t-stat rules the roost here. You will get some gain since the fans don't come on until 217*, but not very much and still in heatsoak range; it will still run at least 203*. You can drive 100 MPH in 10* air, and will still run 203*. The fans don't have a chance - it will run whatever the t-stat tells it to, never lower. You will just put undo stress on the fans.
The job of the t-stat is to regulate the out temperature even if that means shutting off flow (except for by-pass) to obtain that temperature. The t-stat is really easy to change and relatively cheap (~$12).

Looks like an Autozone 4128 and a CoolIT for me.
