    exhaust sounds from the 70s

I was watching Hawaii Five-O on DVD. And noticed some of the cars do have a nice unique sound. I can't find any youtube clips.

    It's not a hot-rod V8 muscle car rumble.

    Kind of a nice howl.

Mopar fans - It would sound like an OEM Dodge Dart.

Before I ask how can we duplicate that similar sound, let's find it so we are clear as to what we are looking for.
Without Yip Man, there's no Bruce Lee.

Have your heard an 07 Daytona exhaust under hard acceleration? I will see if I can get Wifey to post it up. It does have a real nice sound using the stock cats and little drone without the resonators.

    ??

all those shows dub the sounds after filming. I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from it.

Probably the sound of the rochester 4 barrel carbs sucking in air when the secondary's open. That's all you could hear on those smog motors of the mid/late 70's as they sure as heck weren't making any power stock.

Not only back then, but still today! It drives me crazy when Hollywood messes up marine sounds. They are constantly dubbing an outboard sound when it should be an inboard and vice versa. I really hate that!
