    Engine codes help

    My check engine light came on and I pulled 2 codes.
    1521= transmission egaged at high throttle angle.
    0406=exhaust gas recirculation sensor A.
    The car is the Magnum RT.
    Does anyone have any idea what these mean and what I am looking at as far as getting it fixed.
    Thanks very much.

    sounds like someone tried to do a neutral dump.
    as for P0406, there are several things, either a bad EGR valve, or a flash update. those are the two most common causes, but like pete said, it would be nice to know what you're driving. i ASSUMED since under your screen name it says hemitime, that you have a hemi.

    It says he has a Magnum RT ... so 5.7L and NAG1 ...

    EGR valves are cheap, replace it or pull it and check it for clogging ...

    a year would also be nice . not trying to be a pain but sometimes there may be related cases in online database that can more easily be found with a specific YME (year, model, engine).

    without a specific YME, i can only give you a generic answer, which is what you have gotten so far. please update your vehicle profile in your User CP. thank you.

    Good point Pete, forgot to add that ...

    year and maybe even how many miles on it, maintenance history, never can have too many details in a post when asking for tech help.
