    El Questioni

So, i did a search and got nothing on this, and im far, far to lazy to look through every freaking thread here in search of this.

When i get my rims and tires next month, can i get the speed limiter removed? Is it mearly in the computer, or is a physical object? i have the exhaust on the way (Borla) and im taking you guys advice about the KN DROP in instead of the CAI, now i want that damm speed limiter removed as soon as my tires and rims get swapped out. Im tired of my freinds sorry ass mustang leaving me when we get to 129mph. Its annoying,

(please leave the "you dont need to go that fast" comments at the house, there is a certified junky at this end of the keyboard. 8) )

Speed limiter is programmed in. If you get tires that are anything other than H rated your dealer should be able to reprogram the PCM. They should also be able to reprogram for the different tire size you will have when you swap tires and rims.

They should be able to but will they is the better question. I have serious doubts that a dealer will remove the limiter for liability reasons and as far as I know no one has gotten a dealer to do it yet.

Very serious doubts? I'd just about bet the farm that they wouldn't do it, probably claim it can't be done. (even if they could)

You'll probably need to wait for Hypertech or one of the other programmer companies to come out with their products.

I don't even care about the speed limiter and I have a hard time figuring out why it would be an issue. I just want to unlock the performance that DC is keeping FROM us.
