    DYNOED IN 3rd OR 4th GEAR

    How many have dynoed in 3rd or 4th gear and has anyone done it in both gears to see what the difference was ????

    My car has usually dynoed in 3rd since my 4th gear timing sucked so far.....once I get it CMR tuned maybe that will change.

    I have the Superchips so the speed limiter is waaaaay up there.

    Had to go third gear as the dyno guys were too afraid of the speeds in fourth on their machine. They will not try fourth gear.

    While we dyno in 4th and to remove the speed limiter we use the diablo or the star scan and put the car in dyno mode. Either way you can do it....

    I got about the same numbers in third and fourth, but we chose to do third gear pulls because 4th is too long.

    I would suggest 3rd gear. Less Stress on the vehicle during a tuning session. You will see the most realistic numbers in 3rd gear.

    ok wait.....while I have always been dynod in third I would expect to see the most realistic #'s in 4th due to it being the 1-1 gear.Explain please?

    I dynoed in 4th and was ignorant about the whole thing (probably still am)
    The was was Before my cmr tune only B&G stage II. I did not turn off the esp via predator only used the dash button. When I turn off the esp with pred and the ABS, ESP and BRAKE light illuminate what type of increase could be expected over the dash button?

    You shouldn't expect any horsepower increase from turning off/disabling ESP.
