Does the spark plug non fouler mod work to pass emissions?

I just read a write up on Charger forums on how to pass emissions with no cats; the spark plug fouler mod.....has anyone used this successfully? It looks pretty easy and inexpensive and I would like to try it this weekend. Thanks for your input.

What you didn't believe me over there?Whether it works or not depends on the car.....but like I said over there it's your only hope. It's either try it or put the cats back on.......If I were you I'd spend the $6 and try it.

I believe it worked for your car; I just wanted to hear how many people have had it work and how many have not. It's a great idea and I am going to try it out like I said; was just hoping I could get a percentage.

How much steel wool did you use? I know you said to stuff it medium packness so did you cut it up and shove it in the hole?

Have you picked up the anit-fouler yet? The purpose of this is to limit the air flow. Too much air flow and the sensor thinks there is a hole in the cat and throws a code. Too little airflow and the sensor thinks the cat is plugged up and throws a code.
So basically you need to experiment to find a happy medium. I used 2 anti foulers together to make it work for me BTW. Depending on your mods and amount of airflow will determine how much steel wool to use. I didn't use any, I just used 2 anti foulers and drilled the hole different sizes.

I need to do this sometime this year, but haven't yet. There's no easy universal method and no guarantee it'll work on your car, unfortunately.

The steel wool isn't to slow down the flow.....it's to simulate the catalyst he no longer has, which is why it needs to be Stainless Steel.

How about if I am only going to use the steel wool just to get past emissions and then pull it out; do I still need stainless?
