DMH Performance - Issues with their cutouts. They still exist?

My cutouts have leaked since day one. This past weekend in fact we had to pull them off all together. The upper portion of the gaskets on both sides are completely blown out and the butterflys both have around 1/2 of play in them. And this, after only 500 miles.

I sent them an email three weeks ago asking for some help. I resent the same email this morning, and have tried calling a couple times. I'm only getting a busy signal.

Anyone maybe know whats up? I love the cutouts! I just need them to seal and stay working properly .

I just talked to Dave last week. They're still in business. I know the number that is on the website has changed. If you need some help you can also Scott at PR&D. They have been working on some stuff together.

Cool, thanks. Just got off the phone with Dave actually. Took one look and said "ah you've got the old design." He's sending a replacement set ASAP.

I think this is the same issue Bandit had way back when. I thought I had it covered, but I guess not. Bandit, how have yours been holding up?

    You and your "special projects"

Seriously, though. How's that special project roll cage coming? Are you still working on that, or is that one dead. I suspect I'm going to need one before too long once my car is up and running.

Yes, this is the exact issue I had on my first set. My local guy set me up with another set while he awaited delivery of the new & improved ones. The 2nd set lasted about 3 days before the issues cropped up again.

Then the final set came in and it's been a few months now with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

There was some type of epoxy holding rubber or plastic in place at each hinge at the butterflies, the epoxy and plastic will melt off quickly and that causes them to rattle around loose, and prevents them from sealing properly. If for some odd reason I had my cutouts closed and slammed on the gas I'd feel a hard THUMP under my feet as the butterflies took the brunt of the backpressure!

I'm very happy with the new design, it is all metal, no epoxy or plastic.

While you guys are chattin' it up on the cutouts and since the question seems to be answered, let me deviate slightly off topic if I may and ask if any of you DMH folks have attempted to run the fancy QTP cutout controller on the DMH hardware??

Nope, just the simple rocker switch that comes with it.

I don't need anything any more complex than that

    Special Projects for Special People!

You need a good set CV. You cant have 98% zoomers awesomeness, you need 100% zoomers awesomeness when the Cutouts are shut.

Are we talking, like, short bus and hockey helmet special? Or, like, black suits and ear piece special? Just want to be sure

Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
