    Cold Air Intake

Has anybody dissected the air cleaner/ intake yet? While my 300C is 7 days and 500 miles old, I havent had a chance to get in there and tear it down. My first impression is that this car is VERY silent in regard to intake noise. I have a feeling there may be a silencer somewhere inline. I recall pulling one of these setups out of a buddies brand new 86 Stang and picking up a few HP as well as being able to hear one hell of an intake rush.

I cut my thought process short in that last post. After I get a good look around the air cleaner, I will switch to mad scientist mode and begin work on a cold air box. Does anyone know if K&N has started making any kind of filter for the 300C yet?

K & N has used several forum member's Magnum's to do testing for a CAI. Last I heard it should be out in a few weeks.

    Got mine!

My intake FROM 360 arrived today! The parts fit well and so far, I'm pretty pleased. I got a discount (I believe 12%) by mentioning that I was a member of this forum. It never hurts to ask for discounts! Make sure they send it UPS and NOT US Mail. Mine took nearly two weeks to arrive (after shipping).

Dave, did you get the 360 people to powder coat the tubing for the intake? If so what color did you go with?

Mine came in yesterday also. Had them powder coat it a dark blue. Looks pretty good. A decent match to the paint on the car. I was impressed that the air box was powder coated also and not plastic. For the price it is well worth it. Can't wait to install it later this week.
