Charger's barely running ... :(

Engine made some rattling noises (almost like knocking/pinging) while coming to a stop after a short romping session, now barely holding an idle, feels like will stall, A/F gauge shows lean 16-17 range.

No Check-Eng light or any other warning light, still showing about 26 psi oil pressure at idle and no more weird noises puttering home, staying under 2500 rpm.

I'm wondering if a loose vacuum hose may cause the issue, although tonight in the dark and without a good flashlight I didn't get a chance to really look around.

All I know is that if this has internal engine damage, the re-build will no longer include the numbers 345

Running PAC 1235 valve springs since the heads/cam install, done march 2009 by the one and only Erik. Install has been flawless since. Haven't heard of these springs breaking but I guess anything is possible. The install has about 24k miles on it so far ...

Pretty much. It's still a damn good-looking car, VERY comfortable, awesome in the snowy months, and fast. And will be faster by the time I'm done with it, it seems ...

Oh and there's no catch can on this engine anymore ... a casualty of my sell-off spree ... :(

Would a broken valve seat give you lean readings? I tend to think so.

If you heard metallic noises theres not a vacuum leak in the world that will help.
