    Which Cat-Back Should I Get

I have around $800 to buy a new Cat-Back for my 05 Magnum. I have the 5.7L Hemi. I was looking at the Borla, Corsca, and Bassani. What would you guy recommend? I want something that will improve my cars performance, and sound.

Get the high-flow cats first, drive them for a bit and then decide on changing mufflers...

Thats some really good advice. Your performance will scuk (you'll still have the really restrictive stock system) but you'll be in a better position to gauge where to go from there.

If anything to optimize for sound you would do exhaust exactly backwards... headers first, then cats then catback. As the sound slowly ramps up you may find yourself making a totally different choice for the catback than if you'd have done it in the performance-oriented order (when you get to the end you'll have your performance bump... finally).

Well, that brings up whether you want to do short or long tube headers. If you are in a CARB state you might consider shorties to stay legal. Shorties will also provide more torque down low. The JBA's are probably the best of this breed. Better than the Gibsons for sure. From there, get the JBA/Magnaflow high flow cats from HHP. Actually you can get both from them.

If you go long tubes with cats built in... well thats one I'll leave to the rest of the peanut gallery.

I have the Borla 140125 and love it. Don't look for a large HP increase from any cat back system. It's not going to happen. These motors are too computer controlled. However, sound is a different matter. The Borla 140125 system flat out turns heads.

..also keep in mind that jba shorties and high flows are more in your price range right now than a cat back of any flavor. You may find that headers/cats make it sound a whole lot better than you'd think.

..and if you do do that, make sure and get some audio/video - I don't think anyone has done that combo yet.

    Blastin Bob's

And add a cheap set of blastin bob's to replace the stock seso's, and it will sound great too.
