    Can you swap ati damper 5.7 on to a 6.1

    I'm currently swapping out my 5.7 to a 6.1.Can you use a 5.7 2% under drive ATI super damper(part#918435) on a 6.1?

    In stock trim, both have pretty much the same crank so I wouldn't see why not.

    Notice the difference on the 6.1(left) it's got some more weight on the back.Also the od is 6 3/8 compare to the stock 5.7 which is 6 7/8 od.I don't have my car at home as of now but if I remember it's 6 5/8 or 6/3/4 od on the ATI. I would like to know for sure on this so I don't mess anything up.

    Well I just look at their site and I think it they are different... they have two different model numbers...

    well i know you can put the 6.1 pulley on a 5.7 or so i was told ...so i would wait and let one of the guru's chime in...

    maybe

    from just looking I'd be very cautious.

    They look as though they are quite different.

    If one of our engine builders says ok, then I'd want that SRT one. It looks a lot smaller, as in way under driven.

    The stock 6.1 damper is tuned for the higher RPMS and obviously a little underdriven when compared to the 5.7. The ATI is pretty much overkill for anything under 600 HP so I think you'll be fine with the 5.7 ATI on a 6.1.

    Do it I know of 6 5.7 cars with it on there, cant bet it.

    All 6 have the exact same ATI like mine(part#918435)(2% UD) on a 6.1?
