    Exclamation Borla 125's

Ok so.... i have catless mids & slp Lm'1s on my daytona right now. Im geting married soon and want my car to be mellower (if thats even a word). So me and my gurl were checking out some youtube sound clips and she likes the Borla 125's. I am cool with them but really disapointed that its only 2&1/4" piping from the mids back. I was going for the MBRP wich is pretty much a knock off of the Corsa's and keep my 2 1/2" x from my slp's since the MBRP doesnt come with one. With future intentions of a cam upgrade and long tubes will the Borla 125 really choke up the exhuast from the missing 1/4 "?

i run catles mids with my magnaflow catback and it sounds amazing, it really does, it has a tuned sound that you can still tell is a muscle car, much like that of corsa but not as raspy as corsa. and last i heard the mbrp was 2.25 i believe.

cant comment on the 2.25, everyone has there own opinion. when i went catless i felt the difference from 2.25 to 2.5 and i liked the 2.5

For street driven cars, smaller is better to a certain extent.

How often are you at WOT and for how long? 2-1/4" is just fine for a small block v8 driven on the street. How many folks have thrown 3" SRT8 pipes/mufflers on and been disappointed with the gains (or lack thereof) and the sound changes?

My Zoomers are 2-1/4" as well..

thanks for the input guys. I guess we'll be going with the Borla's. Withouth the cats the SLP's have developed what seems to be a rasp like sound and i cant handle it anymore. I drive my car alot and need somthing a bit more mellow.

Go for it you will not regret it. I've had my 140125 for 4 years and I can tell you it's a real head turner. Here's a video for you, but I can only host it for a few hours. I hope you play it back on something other than a PC speaker. Even so it still doesn't do it justice.

    Video stopped!

What about the slp lm2's you have the ones so you could always buy the lm2s bullet mufflers which is just the muffler for I think 185 for the pair cut the ones off and put the twos directly where the ones were it would save money and the twos are deeper and a little more restricted id also like to here your car I was thinking about going catless.
