Has anyone heard if there was a solution to the blowing motors with the GSM Paxton Blower yet ? I'm itchin to get one, but the stories i've heard in the forum and at Sema turned me away.

not yet.....their issue was with tuning I believe....also our intakes don't like to carry a fuel/air mix like they implement with the extra injector at the throttle blade. ASM makes a nice kit, they upgrade all the injectors and use a Vortech blower...pretty good blower...and there is also one out there by someone else that is built similar, but the name escapes me right now. It may have been ATI.

You can use the gsm with an smt-6, 2 bar map sensor, and 8 larger injectors and be fine. ATI does have a kit as well, but I am not sure on the specifics.
I believe the ati kit was the one that is built very similar to the Arizona Speed Marine kit. They use 8 larger injectors with their kit if I'm not mistaken. I would personally like one, just don't have the 5000+ bucks right now since I just bought heads/cam/long tubes/22's.....but it could be a possibility in the future!

I have the GSM kit and pitched the Split Second controller and auxillery injectors and went with the SMT6 and eight larger injectors. It would be nice if GSM would sell their kit's, less the Split Second and injectors.

Awesome info guys, appreciated. At Sema this year one of the LX members had a modified Magnesson blower, at least i think that was the name. He hadn't run it yet, he had the GSM blower and blew up. He's got more dough than i've got, just want to make sure first. HEMIDUP what exactly is the SMT6 anyhow and roughly how much more should i expect to pay on top of the kit? The injectors are not too bad price wise when i can get them at wholesale. Now the other question is should i figure the cam swap before doing the blower too? Cam , Head work and torque converter are also in the plans as well.
I have personally seen 2 ASM RTs run at the track and they were doing times no better than stock. (in some cases worse). This and the fact that I've seen GS's cars several times leads me to believe these things are almost impossible to keep tuned. I, for one, wouldn't even consider a S/C setup on these cars.
(Waiting patiently for the 2011/12 300C SRT 8)
The SMT6 is just another timing/fuel controller. It does the same thing that the Split Second does, except that it can handle 8 injectors instead of 2. With the SMT6, you can also run additional auxillary injectors, such as w/m. The cost for the SMT6 and larger injectors are between $1000 to $1400. Tuning is what makes the power with using any boosted application.

Your right it was Armadillo i was talking about at Sema. The look of that blower on that car was awesome. Never did hear of how or if it ran. I run NOS on my race car (71 Chevelle SS) have yet to eat up any parts but i'm sure it will. I find it a little risky to run on the Charger, at least the stroker in the race car is cheap to rebuilt also alot easier to work on. These fuelie motors confuse the crap outta me. That SMT6 sounds like the ticket though to make the Paxton work. The extra grand and change is worth it knowing the motor is getting what it needs. Thanks again for the info guys. Now if i can only find people around Alberta that know how to work on these HEMI's, there far and few between.
If you ever figure it out let me know I am looking to get a blower but am a little frightened by the stories I have heard about motors going boom!
Much you have to learn....Teach you I will!
