Biggest valves in a 5.7 head

Could I install stock 6.1 IN/EX valves in my 5.7 heads with proper machining or are they too big? I know they are 2.08 and 1.60 correct?

Yea it's done by lots of vendors. Most ported heads are available with stock size or "Big" valves. Putting larger valves in a 5.7 head does reduce the combustion chamber size (increasing compression). Doing 210/165's in a 6.1 is possible without reducing the chamber.

Using larger valves has no advantage unless the ports are made to match. Simply having a bigger opening does very little without runner porting

Before going through the time and expense talk to Stu at Inertia or consider the RT Eagle heads. If you still have the 5.7 intake manifold, that's a bottleneck for airflow regardless of the change in valve size.
