    Anyone running straight pipes?

Right now I have Magnaflows mounted in the middle, under the rear seats. No resonator, an "X" pipe, and blastin bobs's big outlets. The sound to me is OK. Still not what I want. When I was getting all this done he started it up for me with the mufflers removed, just straight pipe. Damn, That thing sounded bad. From idle up it sounded like a beast! Anyone running your's like this? I use to have a Ram 5.2L with glasspacks and I guess I'm looking for that sound again. Are straight pipes too loud?
oh, and by the way, I'm trying to do this cheap, cheap, cheap. That's why I'm asking about just cutting off the Mag's and going straight pipe. Not really looking for a new system, unless someone wants to trade for the Mags.

I would think the drone would rattle your cavities. I have flow 50's in the middle and BB's magnaflows out back. Too tame for me but I had tried a couple different combos and the drone wasnt to my liking so I went with a set up that wouldnt drone. Now its too quiet! I'm thinking about dropping the 50's and just leaving the magnaflows in the rear. I would think that would be fairly loud but hopefully the drone will be under control.

Aries4Life and Hondaman both had straight pipes from the x-pipe back.

Now they both have or are getting mufflers. That should say something. Both of them left nice long patches in front of the house and I have to say that Aries4Life's were way louder than Hondaman's for some reason - probably the difference in the rear tips. Very impressive sounding though I must say.

Loud and aggressive and droned like a mother (or so I've been told). I had straight pipes under the RT for a while, with the Borla resonators and while that was a totally cool sounding setup, it too droned real bad.

    I <heart> my Zoomers...

I've been running straight pipes(no mufflers/no resonators) for about 6 months and its a love hate relationship. I love the sound at WOT and when I'm driving it hard, but at low RPM and regular driving it sounds more like vroom than growling. I've been looking for cure to this, but so far I dont know what I need.

I have The SLP loudmouth 1 system and it is basically straight pipes. The mufflers have nothing in them. I love it. Only issue I have is that it should be on a charger, not a 300. Love the sound, and not too much drone in my opinion.

It's fun for a while, but you will get tired of it. And sometime it will be down right embarassing. What you want is cut outs.

Yep, Thought about going that route. I just might do that. You get the best of both worlds.
