So I currently still have my superchips controling my TCM, but I'm looking to get rid of the superchips and going with a preditor, I haven't seen/heard good things about the TCM tunes from superchips so I was wondering what people think about the aftermarket TCMs. I'm not looking for soft comfortable shifting. I'm looking for good firm performance WOT shifting. Does anything like that exist for the 5.7? It seems that GSM has a good TCM but from what I know they only have a tcm for the srt8. I need one for an r/t. HHP has one but it kinda sounds like it might be the same as getting a updated flash on the tcm. The mopar tcm seems like it would be the same as the hhp tcm. I'm sure I'm off on how these tcms actually perform, but that's just what it seems like from what info I've read.
Just use the Predator......![]()

Have things gotten better with their tranny settings?
im sleepy as hel but i thought the diablo was a pcm controller and the tcm most used a mopar for the final touches?? and the rpd has some tcms coming out soon and if als true...they might be just as good as a mopar if not better b/c they will make them car specific..so if ya want power its there conservative tune...its there.

a tcm is a waste of money for that price get the predator like monty said, and you dont need the cmr to see a change.
tcm support is supposed to come soon so why waste the money.
the flashpaq is ancient history btw.
ahh forgot one thing...if you have a predator and try to ncrease shift firmness or up the shift points and it tells you you cant..most likely its b/c your tcm sucks you need to flash it and if the dealer wont do it and plays hooky with ya u might pay just as much to get a upgraded flash tcm when ya could just get the mopar tcm and be happier that way. I know for a fact without a upgraded tcm you can not increase shift firmness or points. and if thats the case...then maybe u can ask mr incredible to do it for you....he told me hed send me a tcm to get me by while i send him mine and hed flash it for me but as far as i know alot of poeple run a mopar tcm and predator together and are extremely happy...i know i am
I could never chirp from 1st to second and then from a 65 roll dropping from 4th to 3rd i can chrip easy and i dont have a cam and I have brand new nitto 420's ! just ask those who have the mopar tcm and ask them.
I'll see if I can get a flash for a good deal. If not I guess I'll go with a mopar tcm
Well I removed my GSM Stage II TCM. If you want it, you can have it. You will need to pay for shipping though. lol
I am not certain that the SRT8 TCM will work with the 5.7's either. But then again, you can try it if you want my old one.

Yambra, the only TCM to date that I have seen make a major difference on the 5.7 cars are the Mopar TCMs. The combination of a stout 5.7, a Predator tune and the Mopar TCM has had this car shifting so hard at times I thought the rear would be ripped out of the car at the track.....on street tires often times I see tires spinning for 5-10ft on the 1-2 shift. Night and day difference if you ask me and the 100 other guys who run this TCM.
Keep in mind in stock form the car has quite a bit of torque management (reduced timing, letting off the throttle) kicking in at the shift. The Predator did a great job of taming the torque management which returned almost instant .2 gains in the 1/4. The Mopar TCM has a refined ability to unlock/lock the TC right at the shift which also helps provide a nice kick in the back on the shift. If you have a good tuner he can further enhance shift quality through various tables in CMR. In my opinion it takes all three to get the most out of those shifts.

Mopar TCM, end of story, I just put mine back in after some tranny service and can't believe the diff both in part throttle and WOT.
Like CAM has said and Hemi~C~ as well, NOTHING does what the Mopar TCM does.......
