Advice Please: Which will gain more HP & torq ( New Mufflers or Remove Resonators )

    Hey all:

Well I just wanted some input and hopefully all you can help me out. I have a 2005 Magnum RT 5.7

I have a AirHammer and Superchips.

I am looking to add a little more HP and Torq without making the car to loud and have any Rasp or Reverb on the inside going down the Freeway.

So I am looking to either take-out the stock Suitcase Mufflers and replace them with a highflow Muffler ( Magnaflow or which would be best? )

Or remove the Resonators and add some nice 3" to 4" tips.

I would do both but I have heard and read on here that it makes it to loud.

So which one would be more of benifit and gain the most HP and Torq?

    Thanks all Ken

in your case, I think you need to go with a better flowing muffler like Magnaflow. If you were to remove the reso's and leave the stock mufflers you'd still have a lot of restriction.

Why not just replace the whole system?

I just put a Volant cat back on mine, and it's not loud at all. It sounds great, pretty quiet normally and a nice tone when you nail it.

I was running for a while with just the resonators and no suitecase and it sounded like crap, real loud.

Removing the resonators will give you noise that it sounds like you don't want.
