    9r08....Lets talk Diablo

I'm still running the 9r02 version with a Lafrad tune and was wondering what everyones opinion is on the 9r08. I have plans to let Ed at LM Speed do his magic with a dyno tune before too long...Is it worth returning to stock, downloading 9r08, re installing Lafrads tune and re-adjusting everything prior to a dyno tune?

I've also heard that Diablo made some changes for the rear 02 disable function.

    Pros?...Cons?

INput would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I could go in and dig through 300 posts and find some of the answers I'm looking for...but sorry, I just never come out of doing that with the answers I'm looking for. And besides...forums kinda slow atm

    Thanks guys

IMHO the torque managment alone is worth the update. Nice solid shifts. My 2 cents anyhow
I'll keep my money, guns, and freedom, you can keep the change.

shift mode may depend on your TCM version. The 06 models were picky.
Some get paddle gear hold, some get paddle kick like the old SC.
8r17 seemed to run strongest on my 06 R/T, but no data log.
8r18 ran great, but the shifts were hammer blow hard
9r08 the shifts are great. Increased MPG a bit, and even goes MDS on city streets.
A much smoother tune overall. Well worth moving forward.

If you are running a custom tune (CMR) then changing from 9r02 to 9r08 won't make a difference in the tune at all.

I've had it installed for weeks; pulls very strong, shift smoothly and firmly. No complaints here.

Ditto, with a CMR tune to doesn't matter what version you run, as all your settings are custom. Doesn't hurt to check with your tuner occasionally to see if there are updates to his/her CMR tuning software though. There are sometimes things that can be added to your existing tune as the software evolves.

The only tune I've put on has been the latest version and I must say I am delighted with it. I drove the car 2-1/2 years with the stock tune and went straight to 9r08. Now it gets revs much faster... almost instantaneously and the shifts surge power when you jam on it. The car drives much more like you would expect it to run... much more responsive... and much more fun. I recommend it.

But the custom tune does not have any effect on the shifts or paddle shifting...

I'm trying to get away from the autostick that shifts whether I want it to or not. If I disable autostick I have to manually shift every gear and it only goes to 3rd. I've also read that the shifts are supposed to be better

Also curious about the rear 02 changes if any
