    6.1L stock headers...

    Has anyone else that had the headers off of their 6.1L noticed the weld lip that sticks up in to each of the runners, and have you done anything about it? It would be on the flat (bottom) section of the header just inside the flange where the tube is welded.

    I didn't get any direct pics but it seems to me it would definitely interfere with exhaust flow out.

    They are flat like that because the SRT uses a D shape exhaust port.The SRT stock header is one of the best flowing pieces out there.

    I am aware of this. The weld used to attach the tube portion to the flange sticks up past the "straight" portion just inside the flange on every exhaust port. It seems it would interfere with exhaust flow some as the pulse enters the tube portion of the header. I haven't seen anyone else mention this before so it must not be that big of a deal...just something I noticed looking into the header...
