    6.1 Fuel Rail

    HI GUYS JUST GOT MY 6.1 INJECTORS FOR MY 5.7 AND HAVE MY NEW PROGRAM FOR THE INJECTORS THANKS TO PPP .my question is this the rail is much better looking then the 5.7 rails .is it possible to put them in ? if not i have 6.1 rails for sale .and ill part with them for 120 just enough for an oil catch can .or id be willing to swap rail for can.

    Yes you can make them fit.....just need to bend the rear a tad to clear the 5.7 intake.

    hi eric the tube your refering to is it metal tube or the plastic tube that runs across the back ? or the down tube?

    The metal tubes with the bracing on them need to be bent slightly (open up the angle).

    Exactly.It will fit .No problem.I just put one on Mikestones car a few weeks ago..

    ok im still not understanding exactly which tube to bend a little the main fuel rail or that little tube the comes down in the back? if i had a pic id post it but i dont .im at work :( ....if some does id appreciate it.maybe itll be obvious when im in there doing it.

    The little metal tube in back. it's bent at about a 45 deg angle and has a metal brace attached to it.

    oh ok .which direction does it bend in ? making smaller then 45 degrees or larger then 45 degrees?

    Make it larger than the angle it is at now, open up the angle so it would move the rubber tube away from the back of the manifold.

    well since we are using degrees how open would it need to go a little or a lot .from say 45 degrees to 90 or in the middle.

    Just a little...Dont forget you will need a 3/8 quick connect tool

    Oh Boy Quick Connect Tool ? I Dont Know If I Have One .or More Importantly I Dont Know If My Father Has That Tool Whats It Look Like ? Can It Be Done Manuelly ?

    I can remove the fuel line from the fuel rail without a tool very easily. The factory service manual actually recommends against using it.

    Your car will need the tool Vin.Go to NAPA,they are cheap.

    Your Fuel line is different......Typhoon needs the tool.
