    12.06@117.4mph

    We had a new record run yesterday at the track. Here is a breakdown of 3 of our runs from the mopar nats.
    60ft: 2.0----2.0----1.9
    1/4: 12.20--12.25---12.06
    mph:117.8--117.1---117.4

    All was done on street tires at 20psi. DA was between 2500-3000ft all weekend.

    Wow

    11's are right around the corner. I cant wait to see what you get with slicks and the new half shafts. While you are at it, you should put the turbo on the car. LOL. MORE POWER.

    :-)

    lol. With the half-shafts, drag radials, and tq converter, I think 11.5's are a reality. We dont really want to go any faster than that as we will need a roll cage.

    NHRA rules state that you need a roll cage if you run 11.99 or under...

    With the numbers the 426 is laying down now, when the turbo goes on, I can see some HP figures in the 800+ range with no problem. The cage would be a secondary issue.

    Things that would have to change are;

    Possibly even stronger half shafts, diiferential may be questionable
    Drive shaft and u-joint upgrade
    Solid or at least hard poly suspension mounts
    Stiffened control arms and mounts.
    Stiffened tranny crossmember and mount
    Stiffened engines mounts (poly or solid)
    Some serious transmission work! (at least kevlar clutch packs)
    Possibly, it may also need some frame siffeners welded in as well.

    So, a cage would be the least of the issues.

    If I were going to go to that much power, I would;

    Add frame stiffeners and incorporate a cage.
    Pitch the rear suspension and go with a multi link setup and shortend solid axle design.
    Go to a one piece drive shaft unit designed to handle a 1000 HP
    Pitch the stock tranny and go with one really serious built Torqueflight and run a beefed up Gear Vendors Over/Under unit for overdrive usage.
    Replace factory transmission crossmember with an all steel unit and use aftermarket race transmission poly mount.
    Replace engine mounts with poly mounts.

    Now you have one you could pour a 1000 HP through.

    Your joking right, congrats, now change your signature time. You don't NEED a cage to run that fast, you just have to realize you go down the track once everytime you go (because you get kicked out of running anymore), some tracks are leanient enough to let you run more. Wouldn't that just be horrible, (you after puttin on the turbo) oh crap I got kicked out agian boys we had one run and ran 10.XXX give me a few more track outings and well try and do better, LOL.

    Nice run guys! Get rid of the radials and let's see some easy 11 second passes!
    As for not wanting to go quicker than 11.50....... LOL! You only need a cage if you want to go faster than 11.50 more than once at a track..... They will have no problem kicking you out.... but you'll still have the timeslip! I say when you get the traction issues handled, put the bottle in.... go 10's, and take it to the house!

    Nice run!

    How about we go for 10's on motor. If you think about it, our time corrected was a 11.7. If we then get our 60ft time down to 1.60's, we could be in the 11.2 range in the cooler months and with weight savings, we "MIGHT" be able to pull off some 10's if the drag racing gods are all alligned.

    If you can go faster than 11.5 this is what you got to do....

    Stage deep....at the GREEN let off the gas....say 1 mississippi...2 mississippi...nail it.......track you progress with trap speed......then they cant technical you until you trap over 135MPH...

    you'll run a 14 ET but trap a 125......
