    $300 Long tube headers???

I saw this posted on another forum and thought I would bring it over here.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200272841003

Just over $300 for the long tubes. I have seen Pacesetters for sale for many other applications and seem to be a decent product, but they are not Stainless Steel. So who wants to buy them and be a guinea pig for us. Tell ya what, you buy them and I will be the guinea pig, LOL.

Flash-controlled 16-gauge carbon steel primaries provide greater durability than light gauge stainless steel. Length and diameter of mandrel-bent tubing is optimized for flow and best performance increases. Tubes enter collector in proper sequence for maximum scavenging

Not stainless, don't even bother looking at them.

Plus you will have to do some welding to connect them to the rest of your system.

From experience in the neon community, the flanges would need to be welded, ports would require work, after you did that you got about 2 years out of them before they would rot.

The only thing I don't understand is why are the flanges round. Why don't these header companies match the port on the head???

i think the ports are round because its a demo picture. and the hemi truck head ports are round. we saw this problem on the dynatechs(if memory serves) but they later fixed that...

hopefully its just the picture and not the actual build

and the hemi truck head ports are round.

They're square on the 5.7 and D shaped on the 6.1s before 2009.

They are going to be selling catless mids for these so they will be able to bolt up to our existing exhaust it looks like. So it is looking like a more viable option all the time.
