Where the hell is my amp?

I bought and paid for the BA6 speaker system and I need to access the speaker wires and accessory wire near the source to connect both my Audio Control LC6 and aftermarket amps...

I cracked open the underside panel of my steering wheel and there was a silver-colored device with what looked like heat fins. If that is the amp, how do I get it out? Do I have to remove the whole bloody dash just to get behind it?

    Why, DCX??!? WHYYYYY?

    Yes that is the amp.

You will need to remove a lot of screws but the dashboard.

If you take off the metal plate under the bottom dash panel, then remore the insulation panel, it's not too bad to get to. There's only like 2 or 3 screws, but the wiring harnesses are kinda tough to undo.

    Hope that helps.

LOL, I didn't even think about removing the metal plate... I'll give that a shot. What an ugly amp... What is cool though is that there is space next to the amp for the LC6.

From 1st hand experience, it isn't that bad. Remove the plastic cover, then the metal plate that covers everything. After that the amp and your automatic shifter computer are attached to a plate that has two screws on the bottom and one on the top. The one on the top is hard to get at, so be patient.
