Hmm... so will this device let me use the nav system to its fullest when going over 10MPH? Or is it only for adding aftermarket nav?

This is just for the aftermarket nav units not for the factory (OEM) units.

Keep in mind.. You'll need to track down some CAN-C Wires.. The PDF states it's not compatible with the Interior CAN Bus ( CAN-B in DCX Terms ). Not hard to do... Just something to consider.

Ok..
Sorry for all the Jargon. LX ( among other vehicles ) utilize a data bus system call Controller Area Network ( CAN for short ). All Chrysler vehicles use 3 different CAN buses inside the vehicle.
CAN-B -> Interior Comfort systems ( Stereo, AMP, Climate control, etc.. )
CAN-C -> Engine & Mission critical systems ( Engine, Transmission, ESP, Anti-Lock Breaks, Air bags, etc.. )
CAN-C Diagnostic -> Connect from a central Gateway ( which is connected to both CAN-B and CAN-C ) to the OBD-II Vehicle Diagnostic Connector ( under the steering wheel ).
The Stereo as stated above has connections to CAN-B. So, When you pull the Factory Head out, and go to put an aftermarket head in.. You will have direct access to CAN-B Wires.
The device talked about in this thread is not compatible with CAN-B. So, you will need to track down and tap into a pair of wires in the vehicle which connect to CAN-C so that the VSS device will work correctly.

dont suppose what wires will need to be tapped into & where they are....

the can wires for this unit are behind teh glove box.
