    Volume not working

For some reason the volume on my Magnum's stereo stopped working. It is stuck on 0. I can't turn it up from the knob itself or using my wheel controls. This has happened before and I have been able to restore volume control by switching my modes from either AM/FM to tape or CD. Now it doesn't work at all. Anyone encounter this?

Do a battery disconnect for about 5 minutes or pull the radio fuse. I've seen it a few times and a battery disco always fixes it.

Do the numbers go up when you change the volume?
Have you re-programmed the car with a Predator recently?

The car is untouched and the numbers will not increase. they just stay on 0. It has done this about 5 times during the 3 years I have owned it. It is getting more regular in occurance.

I just found out tonight that if I put in a tape I can get the volume back.

I had this issue when the car was new. Dealer thought I was nuts since of course it never did it while they had it. They finally agreed to replace it. They could never figure out or tell what was wrong. I know what you're going through. At the time all I could do was cycle from one audio source to another and then back to what I was listening to and the volume would return. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Yeah if it continues I am going to have it replaced as well. It seems to be fine now after using the tape deck. I have started to look for an 06 deck so I can get the Aux input. The 06 deck still has a tape player right?
