Pretty cool, I'd like to have it but then again it is only a toy that I'd get bored with after the 3rd time, lol.

dei's 2 way remotes plug into a wall socket to recharge. they can only take aprox 100 recharges and they are dead. the remote will set you back $180. they are having major problems with the buddy remotes not wanting to program to the system on the 5900-5901-5902's. MSRP-doesnt include install. auto page/sytek and k9 are releasing the same style units for half the price this year. dont drop your dei 2 way page remote-they break really easy. AS for controling your car by your I phone their will be a hiden connection fee with DEI some time down the road in the future as with all their stuff. controlling your car by your i phone is 8 months old already. CCI and auto page exclusive already have that out in japan and the uk on g4 network

Think about how stupid the average person is..
Then realize half of them are dumber than that

AND VIPER-and have 2 dozen bad buddy remotes [5900 alarms] sitting here waiting for a RA number for return to dei in cali 3 out of 5 5900-5901-5902 alarms wont program right out of the box. BEEN a DEI viper clifford dealer since 1983 when the owner him self [darrel issiac] would come him self pushing the viper alarm name.
huge problems with them right now-and way over priced for a pretty box.
TONS of factory rebuilt 5900-5901 and 5902s on the streets already. 5902's rebuilt i buy for $115 already and are better than the factory fresh stuff because they have been checked over and the flaws have been worked out but the 2 way remotes still have a charging problem after so many recharges.
I'm really disapointed with dei for the past 2 years.
the 5900 series alarms have the led and valet switch built in to the ant and if you mount it at the top of the front window for range-would be thiefs cant see the LED flashing. their 350 series alarm are still great.

I guess people have different opinions of different products. I have tried them all and have always gone back to DEI. They offer Industry leading tech support, and are always on the cutting edge of technology.

To be sure, there are cheaper products available, but you get what you pay for. Nothing cheap is good, and nothing good is cheap. Price, quality, service: pick two.

I have heard that a few people were having problems with the Python 990 series remotes. I have installed literally hundreds and have two myself; never an issue other than customers beating the hell out of them.

I too am not a big fan of the LED built into the antenna, but I have taken it as an opportunity to sell Varad hyper LED's as an upgrade.

I think we know how you feel about DEI by now. I we note it. This is not going to stop people from looking at products fits there needs or wants. DEI is bring a product that customer have a want for. I have said once and I am saying it again. Product is product and a alarm is only as good as the installer. DEI is so bad how come there are still making alarms. I understand that there audio and video stuff has had issues and they got into that part of the market to be diversed. They really didn't change there focus in the security department. I am the first to say that the Iphone has problems, but it isn't going anywhere.
