Dealer wanted $250.00 for installation, after receiving unit and reading the enclosed directions, I thought this will be simple I can do this! Install was going great till I get ready to remove the NAV to feed the VES harness, this was the hard part (call me stupid) but I couldnt get the antenna to unplug from the rear of the NAV. Luckily there was enough slack that I was able to pull the NAV out far enough to feed the VES harness down underneath with one hand while juggling the NAV with the other hand , that wasnt to bad, but since I have uconnect and sirius I had to switch out three wires from the stock plug to the new VES harness plug, with limited space and one free hand, that was a PAIN to say the least! After some cussin and sweatin I managed to finish.
The directions state that the VES needs to be activated by starscan but mine worked without doing that.
Anyways my daughter loves it and that makes it ALL GOOD!![]()
I was thinking about the NAv2go mod in the future, but that will have to wait till I can find out how to unplug the Antenna!![]()
So "What is the trick to removing the antenna anyway?"
I tried a search but for some reason the search isnt my friend...![]()
Thanks
