??? for those that have switched from Factory CD to Factory Nav

I picked up last week a Factory nav unit out of an SRT. I have the single disc unit with the Sat. radio. When replacing the old unit wit the nav do I need to do anything different or call them Sirus? I just do not want my Sat. radio screwed up. Or is it just a plug and play?
    Any help would be great
    Thanks

I had the 6 cd and cassette radio in mine. When I installed the Nav unit it was just plug & play. The steering wheel controls worked just fine, but I don't have Sat. radio. Oh ya, the dash bezel too.

I did the same as you. You are plug and play, because you have a Sirius box already next to the radio. It is the brain for the satellite. Don't forget the Navigation antenna. You will need it. It installs behind the gauges. (Super Easy To Do!!) Most lay the antenna on top of the vents above the radio. My radio didn't work until it was installed. It was like it was locked or something. Also the nav. disc and the bezel. The bezel is larger than your old one. No install kit is needed. It is only the four screws.
I ordered everything from Eastway Chrysler, and it was on the doorstep two days later. Hope this helps.

Sweet. Thanks for the info. I ordered the Bezel today from Mopar Supercenter but no one has the nav antena. Has anyone used the generic Nav antena on ebay for $20?

Sorry, don't know about that one. The factory Nav. antenna goes for around $100. Good luck.

It's a pretty easy plug and play for swapping out the radio to the Nav. If you have sirrius and have already activated it, you'll need to get the ESN off the new unit, phone sirrius and have the service transferred over. This $70 for it, can't recall.

There are ALSO additional steering wheel controls that the dealer has to turn on. You'll see them in the EVIC, where you can go to the menu and find restaurants and stuff with the steering wheel control. Needs a starscan to turn on, it's NOT needed to use the nav...

but I enjoy using the additional steering wheel controls while driving at high speeds!!

I believe this is WRONG, as the Sirius unit (stock) is a separate unit and it is simply broadcasting the Sirius ESN through the DECK, so there will not be a 'new' ESN, it will be the same (not part of the Nav/Radio).
