Is there a reverse signal (not canbus) in the dash (to power a relay)?

Hi,

I want to tap a reverse light wire to trigger a relay.

I searched and found that there is a white / light green wire in the passenger kick panel for the reverse lights. I haven't tested it yet but I assume that it carries the full current load to the backup lights (and won't notice a relay's load).

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, is this the closest location near the dash to easily get such a signal?
