A little help?

I have an aftermarket JVC head unit with PAC magic boxes to make it work. It's been working fine for 2 yrs. but the steering wheel controls just quit. I thought the SWI-JACK may need to be reprogrammed but when I launched thru those steps I couldn't get the LED on the SWI-JACK to light at all.

If you're familiar with this setup, for our cars there is a SWI-CAN box that feeds into the SWI-JACK box. The power for the SWI-JACK is provided by the SWI-CAN. There is a 1A fuse in front of the SWI-CAN, I checked it and it's OK and hot to the SWI-CAN.

Next I pulled the connector from the SWI-CAN to the SWI-JACK and tested for 12v there. Nada. So, is it a safe bet the SWI-CAN is dead?

Nothing is ever for sure with electronics, I've found. For all I know there could be something in the SWI-JACK that is dead and preventing a complete circuit so that's why I don't get juice when I check the lead from the SWI-CAN.

Anybody know?
