Someone with factory nav (REC) and Sirius please read

My 2007 Charger SRT8 has factory nav and Sirius. Ever since I bought the car, I've noticed that the sound level listening to any Sirius channel is noticeably lower than listening to FM radio or CD. To the point where I have to constantly adjust the volume when switching between Sirius and FM/CD.

Does anyone else notice this or is there something wrong with my head unit?

Mine seems a little lower on Siruis. But for the most part I either have it on that or CD. I never use the FM channels.

yep, it will always be like that. its like switching from ur DVD player to ur Cable in your home. volume levels vary with sources except ur device(such as ur TV) adjust it automatically.

i never listen to fm radio but my sirius is also lower than my CD

Remember that Sirius is from a Satellite and is Compressed/Decompressed to get to you. Off Air and CD has nothing in the middle to degrade your signal, just as Off Air HDTV is better than Dish/DTV HD programming.

This is from another forum on this subject.---

Well, some of the talk stations are pretty highly compressed.

The music stations vary in quality, based on popularity and type of programming (e.g. the metal station is more heavily compressed than the top few rock channels). Specifically, "Classic Rewind" sounds close to CD quality to my ears. "Hard Attack" is nowhere close.

    I noticed the same thing.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
