Only good if you have the NAV, the other radios aren't Sirius ready (I think)

That works if you have a kenwood system. The nav units are made by audiovox. I wish this would work but it's not that simple.
Darn.....good thing I didn't ORDER yet. I figured it would work as long as it was a tuner. The kit (tuner+antennea) is 175 bucks FROM Mopar. Oh well....I guess we're stuck if we want Sirius.
If you are going aftermarket... go XM. IMO its significantly better than Sirius. Plus its cheaper and commercial free on all the music channels... just like Sirius.
Ive had XM for two years now. I couldn't imagine not HAVING it at this point.
The Nav unit in the Magnum's/300's is made by Alpine.
I figured I could incorporate it INTO the existing system because all you need to add is the tuner and antennea, but I forgot that the connections are different FROM different brands. I guess if I want satellite bad enough, I'll stick with the Mopar so I don't have to mount the external box if I went the XM route.
I miss my Maggie
Well thats what I was saying. If you are going to stay "stock" then its probably worth it to just do Sirius.
But if you are going aftermarket... definitely CHECK out XM.
Also... XM makes some products that integrate with your stock CD changer controls... giving it a more "stock" look to it. I think if you go on www.xmfan.com or www.xm411.com you can go INTO the online stores there and look for the adapter wires for your stock system.
XM is service is great and so is SIrius, Sirius offers a lifetime sub for around $400.00 what would that amount get you with XM? Sirius has NFL, NBA, NHL and alot of Talk and political right/left chatter plus they showed streaming video which should be jus taround the corner, any way this is a DC forum and XM is is just a another name for GM they own the sats. Sirius has alot of interface components available or in the works. :DOriginally Posted by DjPiLL

XM will give you their service for four years... and you can opt-out any time you want and get refunded for the remainder of your service (something that Sirius will not do if you cancel their lifetime).
But frankly... i would want satellite radio for the MUSIC... not for talk radio. I borrow my buddy's webcast account and I find Sirius to be very repetitive and not cutting edge in the music as far as XM is concerned.
And in regards to being a DC forum... it really doesn't matter. I own a DC branded vechicle myself... and I had the option to get Sirius stock on my ride. I chose an aftermarket XM solution instead. Just because Sirius is offered stock on the 300c and Magnum... doesn't mean thats your only choice.
