So long as you are comfortable purchasing from this online vendor, you should not be concerned about the prices. Most often, these are last year's models (nothing wrong with that) and that's why there is a price break.

Your pairing of these two items shouldn't be a problem, as long as you run the amp at 4 ohms, to match the speaker. The amp puts out 300 Watts RMS at 4 ohms, and the speaker is rated at 300 Watts RMS at 4 ohms. It appears to be a single voice coil speaker, so it's plug and play (not many variables to wiring these together).

Aside from my editorializing about audio components, you should be able to make this pair of products work well together

    Best of luck!

    Hope this helps...

While that amp and sub combo will work, you're not going to be using all of your sub. I'd suggest a bigger amp. One that you don't have to turn the gain up 100% to match your sub. That will make your amp get hot quicker.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

Ahh, I see what you're saying about the amp. So if I switched the sub from 4ohms to a 2ohms sub (they sell the same sub in 4 and 2 ohms) using the same amp putting out - RMS @ 2ohms is 500w, I'll be set?

Thanks for your input! I hate trying to work this aduio stuff out because it fries my brain!

Oh and I bought the following so I could use my I-Pod http://cgi.ebay.com/2005-2006-2007-D...2em118Q2el1247

It has RCA jacks (not used) I'm assuming I can plug the amp into this, correct?

I don't think so. This is an input to get your ipod playing. It doesn't have outputs.

Thank you very much for keeping me on a straight line!

    Oh, how about this one
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...mZ150269719099

See this is what gets confusing, this "add and amp" is good for a 2 channel or 4 channel amp. The amp im planning to purchase is a mono/1 channel. Does this even matter?

You're on the right track with that one, but their application guide is lacking.

Are you using a stock head unit or aftermarket?
