    REF Compatible w/ Uconnect???

Ok.. since there's only like 5 things on the Magnum that I'm getting $$ for on the trade... I'm look'n at what I can swap to the new SRT8 Charger we picked up yesterday for the Mrs.. ( See this Section of the Richmond M&G post For details.. ).

So, my biggest question is this.. Is the Uconnect system compatible with the REF Radio ( Single CD w/ Aux Input ). Cause.. I got the Magnum till Friday.. I can easily work the swap...

    Thanks!

Wish I knew the answer... It's compatible with the 6 disc changer version.

According to Mopar's accessory catalog it is compatible.

Ya.. I noticed that I could build out an 06 w/ the REF and UConnect system.. So, I'm hopeful..

It may do something like this... (Chances are they share the same controller.)

    2006 Magnum SRT8 - 11.85@117
    2007 SuperBee SRT8 - 12.21@117

It's actually a different VFD configuration... There's no dot matrix part. The part to the left has more segments in in the display, but not dot matrix at all.. ( i.e. instead of being configured like the 7 segment for the digit, it's got diagonal segments all over the place too.. )

Hoping that it uses that for feedback.. but it does have an EVIC too.. it may just use that instead.. Will soon see... I've gotta get some extra pins in the Drivers Side APillar connector.. And the connectors you guys are talk'n about for the radio splice and the uconnect module..

Was gonna try to take all that out of the Magnum, but.. I'd have to take the ENTIRE dash out... It's wrapped in w/ the other wires...

Does not work. You need either the 6 disc cd/mp3 or the cd/tape with the dot matrix display to see numbers and who's calling you. Otherwise all it does is mute the radio like the dealer installed one. Saw one in a Ram and was not impressed. I ended up buying a new 6 disc cd/mp3 with chrome rings on the knobs to do my uconect install but later decided to go with the factory nav radio. I still have it for sale if you want it. Keeps the dash bezel the same as you have now and shows you the phone numbers and other phone stats. Let me know if you are interested. $200 and I'll ship it for free since you are a forum member.

You also need it enabled in the FCM to see the info on the EVIC.
