    REC NAV acting weird

Recently acquired the REC Nav, and while driving on I-75N, the navigation would show me in places that are not really there. For instance, I'm driving in a straight line, and it shows a turn ahead when there is no turn ahead. I would be driving on the interstate, and it would show me like on a regular street with turns, and gas stations to the left and right of me. Kinda hard to explain without showing you a vid. I think that's what I'm going to do this week. If I set a destination, it will continually say off course even when I am on course.

I am on the original AC disk, and will recently be getting the AG but is it the outdated disk causing the problem?

With the nav active, drive around in a few circles in each direction in a parking lot... it may just need to slap some sense into itself. Where did you mount the antenna? Go into settings and go into satellite information (I forget the exact menu names but you'll find it) - that'll tell you how many satellites it sees.

This may be a different situation but I figured I would give my 2 cents. My nav was messed up like this a while back showing me to be another place than I was almost all the time. The problem with mine was the speed sensors and the toner rings. Once I got the new speed sensors and tone rings the problem went away. Like I said it may be a different situation but just trying to help.

Ordered a bezel from MPSC, and getting that on Fri, so the antenna is on the dash, on top of it. I know what you mean, I was going through the settings, and noticed that. I think it said 4 or 5...cant quite remember but I can get that in about 30 mins when I breaking for lunch.
The weird thing is it shows me where I'm at correctly sometimes, and just randomly be somewhere else.

Thanks for your input, I hope that is not the case, because it basically sounds like my problem. I still have 3k warranty left...wonder if dealer with warrant it.

    Thanks again you 2!!

Well. my problem started after I broke a half shaft and had them replaced. That is when the nav started acting up and once I got new speed sensors and a new tone ring the problem was solved. I havent heard of many RTs breaking them so it might just be the speed sensor is bad, and I think it was only like $35 at the dealer for a new one.

Where is that located...I take that it is something internal? I just took it out for a drive, and it was doing well. It shows 4 satellites. The question I have is, are all the connections on the REC used. I have one 1 free port.
