    Poor FM Reception

    Hi guys,

I recently bought an 07 R/T with the R&T package. I'm dissapointed with the FM radio reception; I get a fair bit of static even when tuning in to local stations.

Is this normal (due to the fact that the antenna is in the rear window)?

If not, has anyone had a similar problem and had it resolved?

BTW there is no tint on the car.

My only question would have been related to tint. If none has been added... then no, it's not normal. Ask the dealer?

its the antenna pre-amp in the rear hatch or the antenna wire line in the rear window have a cut in them

Check the antenna wire connector that goes into the pre-amp in the window. Wiggle it around. Sometimes the snap connector will not get a good contact. Move it around and you'll see that the radio will work fine.

I only have that issue when I put the rear defroster on.

    Thanks guys,

Is the antenna wire connector visible on the Charger?

I don't think the issue is the one identified in the TSB as there is no difference in reception when the defroster is on or off.
