Overhead dvd player question?
I have a sunroof/moonroof in my charger, and i want to get a overhead dvd player for my son so he can watch dvds while he sits in the back. My question is, first is their enough space after the sunroof to fit one? Second will the dvd player interfere with the sunroof operations, vice versa? Third, does anybody else on here have a overhead dvd player and a sunroof?
When U see me in my town Everything is BLACK & RED!!!!

I installed car audio from 1992 to 2006 and yes it can be done. It is usually more appealing to do headrest monitors, cause you can replace the headrest much easier than a headliner with holes in it from mounting and wiring. And in some instances you can purchase the whole headrests with monitors and dont have to touch the factory ones. If the installer has half a clue, the overhead can be installed without an issue, other than the maybe the sunshade that slides blow the sunroof might have to be removed so it doesnt get damaged

It can not be done properly.... it can be done but over time the headliner will begin to sag. Like mentioned, it would be best to go with headrest TVs.

I installed an Alpine 10" with a dvd player in it, behind the sunroof there is a metal bracket that holds the sunroof rails in place and behind that there is a plastic bracket that holds the motor. I cut a piece of metal that I believe was 11.5x16x.375 and used a tap to cut threads for mounting it to the brackets and mounting the monitor to it with screws. It is mounted just behind the sunroof and the only way it would sag is if the roof itself sagged, and there is plenty of room to use the sunroof and slder with no problems.
