    Need help with subs/amp installation

    (This is for a 07 Base 300)

Ok, I wanted to get something small for my chrysler 300 just to add a little extra bump, Ive always had killer stereo systems in previous cars, but I was offered this system really cheap so I picked it up. Now Ive always bought brand new from stereo shops and had them install stuff so Im basically dumb when it comes to this stuff but I figured its about time I do one myself

So I bought two 12 inch directed subs with a Pioneer 760W amp. Can you hook a system up to the stock stereo? I have my ipod touch in my car so I dont necessarily need a new head unit.

So what size wiring and stuff do I need? I still need to buy the wiring kit on ebay so like what guauge and stuff?

Then, I know Im asking alot, but basically, what goes where? I have basic skills so I can ground wires and hook stuff up, i just dont know where it goes?

Thank you and I really appreciate the help! After I get done with my 300, I need to hook a system in the wifes trailblazer so help will work!,

    Thanks,!

1.Yes you can install a amp to the factory system.
    2. I would first tell to consult the onwer manual for the amp to find out what size wires that is required for your amp.
    3. Some amp can take hi or speaker level inputs. Some amp only take low level or rca input. You find out what your amp takes. Once you find this out you can proceed with your install.
There are several different audio package for the 300(boston,6speaker package). If you have the boston system I would recommend making the connection at the factory amp. Which is located on the driverside of the car. It is under the dash, left of the steering wheel.
The subwoofer wires are gray/brown - dk. green/brown at the amplifier near the steering column.
Then will have to connect your hi to low adaptor or your speaker wireto these wires. Then you will have to get a turn on signal. This will allow the amp to turn off and on with the car. You can get the turn on wire from the cig lighter in the dash. This wire turns off and on with the key. The amp can be mounted in a number of places. Most people would locate it in the trunk of the car. The battery is there also. The main power for the amp will be connect there. There should be a fuse within 18 inch of the battery. The fuse is only there to protect your car. Not the amp. Most amps have fuses.
This is the basic. Good Luck
