need help- issue with standard radio

on my regular stock 1cd/sat radio i am having an issue. when i put it on for sat. radio it shows "--" (the symbol like when there isnt reception) and "184" flickering back and forth very rapidly. i can not change the channel the regular way or use the presets .i can not do anything to it. everything else am/fm,aux,cd works fine. i was hoping someone knows what i may be able to do to solve this before i get it checked out at the stealership.

I guess the first obvious question would be do you even have a subscription for satellite radio? I`m not sure about stock radios but I know with an actual aftermarket sirius reciever you only get channel 184 until you pay for a subscription.

your right, forgot to mention that i do have a subscription and that the radio has always worked just fine. ive also been thru the radio update phase, but the radio has never acted like this with the "--" and 184 flickering back and forth very quickly. almost acting like a short circuit type of deal. ill see what i can find and maybe even take a video of it
