Nav. voice w/upgraded audio?

How do I go about retaining the navigation voice prompts that come through the drivers side speaker if I'm going to upgrade my audio equipment?

I'm going to run new speaker wire and don't want to use the oem amp.

I might be off base with regards to what you're attempting but if you're looking to retain the stock head unit then I imagine it is what's outputting the voice (eg. it lowers the music, right ?).

Can't see why you'd lose that if you are just changing amps and speakers...
