    NAV REC and VES Lockpick

Here is my question I have a 06 msrt8 with oem nav rec and ves. I would like to get lockpick to see dvd's on the nav rec screen. So will lockpick work since it starts the VES mode in the nav rec, that is already started up because of the Oem ves? Also if it will not work can I do the write up on splicing into oem VES harness to get output. Then plug that into the lockpick. In short I guess the main question is will lock pick and the oem ves work together or will it have an issue since the oem ves starts the ves screen in the nav rec. I hope I got my question out correcty. Thanks inadvance.

you will not be able to use the REC lockpick with your REC unless you have the rear camera input in the back of the REC. Unless you have a very late model 06 you probably do not have it.

If you dont have the plug, you can send in your REC to nav2go and they will hardwire the necessary parts into your REC so you can make it happen.

Regardless, to use your VES as the video input, you will have to splice the video out on the VES so as to make the connection to the lockpick/REC

    Hope that helps!

Thanks man for the info I will pull the deck and see if it has therear camera input. Now if it does and I get the lock pick will it work with my current ves I understand that I will have to splice the viedo out on the VES. But will my oem ves still work power etc because the harness I would guess some how plugs in to the REC.

    Hi
If your REC doesn't have Camera input we have special going on now for $250. This will give you 2 video inputs 1 for dvd and 1 for backup camera.
    Thanks Dominic www. TVandNav2Go.com

you will need to splice for the video out. All VES functions will remain unchanged, so it will still work for people in the back. If that's not what you meant, just let me know and ill help you out
