If you purchase a navigation radio FROM a third party and have your dealer install it, is it covered under warrenty? It certainly is only at bast a few months old and came FROM another 300 which has only bet out since April. Just wondering.

It would be covered if your installing dealer will enter an equiptment upgrade INTO Chryslers system.

My dealer seems reluctant to do this he says since it was not bought at Chrsler he won't. This radio is as new as the car. The oldest unit can't be more than 3 months old. Is this just a desision the dealer makes or should I go to another dealer?
I wouldn't even mention it to the delaer. If you can, try nd install it yourself. I'm sure the guys on the board will try and answer any questions you may have.
The only hard spot should be routing the antenna cable? Right?
Either way, if anything ever happened to it and you brought it in, chances are they would fix it unfer warranty namely because they did not know it wasn't there in the first place. If they get questionabl, just say a dealer installed it for you but you can't remember which one.![]()
