MyGig Non-navigation (REN) into previous navigation equipped car?

Hi all,

I have a REN mygig non-navigation radio i put into a previously equipped navigation mygig car. I also took out the uconnect, so basically im using the nav harness with my evic controls and no uconnect mirror or uconnect module. it was working previously, but now I cannot transfer music to the hard drive from my thumbdrive or a CD. When I enter a cd, it plays and works fine, but when I hit menu and try to copy the files from CD, nothing happens. When I plug in a thumbdrive, the menu comes up to copy files. I choose the files to copy, and within 1 second it says "Transfer compete" which is way too fast, and I see NOTHING under hdd on my myGig unit. When I do a HDD test in engineering mode, it says sometimes zero errors, sometimes 1, sometimes two.

Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!

My guess would be that the drive is failing .. there is a whack of info on the mygig forums about drive replacment but don't remember the thread..
