Exclamation MyGig/Ipod interface cable? HELP Please....

    I have an 08 Nitro R/T w/ Mygig:

I want to be able to use my ipod with the radio. Where in the hell do I get the cord to go Ipod to Mygig pin plug?

Can I use a 3.5mm x 3.5mm jump cord to interface with? Would I be able to control it with the steering wheel controls still?

Is there another cord that attaches to it like the Ipod/Iphone cord but with a pin plug?

Will it charge using the 3.5 x 3.5 cord?

I am just not a tech-ey when it comes to a/v stuff.

Thanks for any REAL ACURATE INFO.

Walt, the only problem with that is you won't be charging at the same time.

Here's one that gives you power leads and audio/video:

The only real problem with it though is that it terminates in RCA's and you want the 3.5mm plug to go into the face of the radio. You could always use an adapter between the RCA's and the 3.5mm though.

You can not control the ipod with a mygig period.

You can of course copy the music from the ipod to the hard drive (using the USB) of the mygig to be able to use your steering wheel controls.

Not quite. It depends on the car,but some 2008s with the REN MYGIG came from the factory with an ipod cable in the glove box that lets you control the ipod from the radio. It shows up as another tab and it works really well.2009s have that available on the RER radios. As far as adding that to an earlier model, that might not be possible, but I can't say 100% for sure.
