MUST DO MOD - $79.99 turn ur stock stereo into 3k+ system

well, i recently purchased 100sq/ft of fatmat sound deadening for $79.99, on ebay. i've used dynamat every time in the past, but this time i didn't feel like paying for the name. so i did a little research and found fatmat would work perfectly for my future plans. i could of use second skin, dynamat, hushmat, and etc, but i want to find something that would work just as good as the big names for less the price. we all know that the industry is killing the consumer with the ridiculous prices, when it's foil and rubber/asphalt mixture. my only concern was adhesion and smell. the fatmat has a slight asphalt smell, but it's going away.
well, i spent the last two days installing fatmat in all 4 outer door shells and face. the entire trunk (top/bottom) and including the entire rear fenders. i ordered more to do the roof, jams and floor.
the result, is amazing. i have the stock nav with the kicker sub and it now sounds like i just spent $3000+ on a new system. i should know i've spent more in the past.
so this is a must do, for such little $$$ and awesome results.

sorry, i didn't take pix of the doors and panels are back on. here's pix of the trunk...

4 hrs on the doors and 4 hrs on the trunk..

Hey there, good work with all the ins and outs of the metal.

How much does 100 sqft weigh? Maybe it says on the shipping sticker?

ken, i still have enough to do under the rear seat and top of the rear deck. i'll do that tomorrow. the total weight added with 100sq/ft is 31 lbs. there are other thicker versions, but i didn't want to add the extra weight. the doors and fenders are frkn solid. it's amazing. it's been a while and i forgot how much of a difference it is. later!

thanks bro! the only down fall is a sore back and legs and arms. a few scrapes, from getting those HARD to reach places. i actually reached deep into the back fenders, to the backside of the doors.

no joke! it's a HUGE improvement! i wouldn't say it, if i didn't mean it. it can be a lot of work, you just have take the time out and do it. IT'S A MUST DO!!!!!
the difference with the system is 120% better. crisp/clear, no vibrations, no distortions, and solid bass. i can crank the system ALL the way and still no distortions.

it eliminates almost all road noise. it depends on where you place it. of course, if you do the entire car, it'll be sound proof. the plus is that it will also help take impact from an accident.

The Kicker systems w/ upgraded Kicker/Mopar Amp. sounds great already so I can imagine what good sounds this will bring...I would try this but 31lbs added to my Wagon might hurt me at the track ... Thanks for the info...

it shouldn't effect your #'s that much. if that's the case, put the mat in and just take the seats out when you run at the track.
